The Central Institute of Technology, conveniently located in the hub of the Perth business district offers a variety of courses designed to respond to the need for an adaptable and highly skilled workforce.
Since its early beginnings in 1900, Central has grown to include six campuses and is now regarded as one the largest Vocational Education and Training (VET) colleges in Australia.

Central offers a choice of over 400 nationally accredited courses from Certificates to Advanced Diploma’s, across eight study areas.
Vibrant city campuses
Our six campuses at Perth, Leederville, East Perth, Mount Lawley, Subiaco and Nedlands, are located in the precinct of the Perth business and cultural centre. The campuses are in close proximity to art galleries, theatres, restaurants, cafes, shops and public transport.

Central’s Business Development area provides innovative training solutions for employers, business and industry, including accredited courses, apprenticeships, traineeships and customised training programs.
Community of staff and students
More than 1,300 staff are employed at Central in lecturing and service positions and nearly 30,000 students are enrolled across our six campuses. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, creating a dynamic learning and social environment.

Over the years, Central has developed strong connections with industry and business ensuring that our courses remain relevant and responsive to existing and emerging industry requirements.
